Description: You’ll be working in a “no brush zone” by learning to use rollers and trowels to apply watercolor. Understand the beauty of layering (glazing) watercolor. Create beautiful passages and add aquapasto and other watercolor mediums to plump up the paint or make it “slip” easier with other mediums. You will leave with stunning finished paintings! Title: Digging Deep Inside
Location: White Bear Center for the Arts, 4971 Long Avenue, White Bear Lake, MN 55110
Description: In this Watermedia Mixed Media workshop, we will explore how to translate your emotions and channel that energy into your work. Some of the instruction will be based on various concepts of “Expressive Drawing”–how that can translate to your beginning point, or into your finished artwork. We will explore the expressive nature of line, shape, color, and texture and how you might use them to communicate your message to your viewers and collectors through your finished artwork. All experience levels are welcome, but come prepared to really stretch your artistic vision in an attempt to move beyond your current thinking.
