Grace Haverty: “Floral – Fresh and Loose
An enthusiastic group of members (75+) turned out for our first-ever June meeting and demo. Grace Haverty wowed us with her fresh and juicy flower painting. “I paint from the gut,” she said, “No formulas.” Her creative energy was apparent as she moved around the painting, touching her brush just right, releasing saturated color. The result? A bright and loose floral. Grace is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America
The impurity limits proposed in the active substance specification have been. She enters many competitions and is never afraid of rejection. “I may be disappointed, but never upset,” she emphasized, noting that after being rejected eight time, she had an acceptance. What artist has influenced her most? “The last one I studied with,” Grace replied. She continues to grow each year by attending many workshops.
