Triple Header – Bonnie Cutts presentation, Holiday Party, Art Materials Swap/Sale!

It was a cold December evening, but a hearty group of artists met to learn, celebrate, and share.

By 6:15, tables were laden with art materials priced to sell, many free for the taking. Such a good way to clean out our studios and make room for more art!

Members mingled and shared festivities before, during and after the meeting, enjoying beautiful and delicious holiday treats.

Bonnie Cutts, Golden Artist Colors Representative, demonstrated many applications of Golden products. She began by showing the new watercolor pigment, Qor, which contain aquazol as a binder, rather than the traditional gum arabic. The pigments are very intense and have proven to be permanent. She then explained a variety of Golden’s acrylic paints and demonstrated the qualities of High Flow, and Fluid acrylics. She painted over several different grounds to show the difference in effect. Her current favorite is High Flow.

At the end of the evening, members lined up to receive a “goody bag” of Golden products to try. Santa came early!
