DESCRIPTION:Natalie Shapiro will be our first demo artist of the year. Her painting demonstration will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday\, Sept. 17\, at the New Brighton Community Center\, 400 Tenth St. NW\, New Brighton\, the new location of our in-person meetings. \nNatalie Shapiro is a St. Louis Park\, Minnesota-based watercolor artist whose botanical and abstract paintings pulse with whimsical movement\, delicate organic shapes\, and bold\, saturated colors. Rooted in an intuitive and meditative process\, her work balances careful precision with free-flowing improvisation\, drawing inspiration from nature\, her imagination\, and global folk art traditions. Across her portfolio—spanning vibrant botanicals\, starry landscapes\, luscious fruit\, and bespoke Ketubahs—she invites viewers to experience the subtle emotional responses sparked by rich color and repetitive pattern. \nBring a painting you’re working on and your art materials\, and join us for a paint-in beforehand at 5:15 p.m.\, with food at 6:30.
